I definitely like how Jesus goes about reassuring us that he has a greater power over evil than evil does. We bring a lot of evil upon ourselves, because his power is not that great, he can manipulate us into believing that he is great. But in today's Gospel we are shown how weak evil is. Praise God for that, for it is shown that evil will be overcome, and exile is it's home.
What a force Jesus is, how he goes about removing the evil spirits he comes across. He didn't come to us to let them reside in people, that's for sure. He came to bring healing, to renew our hearts, to bring love. He came to restore faith that evil has marred. This is our hope that he showed us, that only he can drive evil away with faith in him.
