They Came

The apostles have returned to tell Jesus all they have done and taught. Jesus now tells them to "Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while." So they may have the time to rest and eat. They too, need to nourish themselves from ministering. But we see that the crowd discovers where the are headed, and proceed to get there before them. The people want his healing, his teaching, but more importantly they want the love that emanates from him. He radiates pure love of God for all who he touches.

What a beautiful scene we have been given, to know the love of God through his own Son, for mankind. We see also how many long for this love in their testimony, by their simple act of going after Jesus, to be where he is no matter what it takes. Can we be like this too, going after Jesus, where he is in the Blessed Sacrament, waiting for us to realize this truth
