Prayer
Father, help us to abstain not only from meat but from the things that take our thoughts away from you. If it should be television we abstain from then give us strength as you gave your Son Jesus the strength while he was in the desert for forty days. Let our fast be a worthwhile one that is pleasing to you and your Holy Will. Amen
