What Is Faith

Faith I believe is-knowing that all things are possible even when it seems impossible. There was a time when things weren't going as well as they should have, yet I had a very strong belief that God is good. We often hear when disasters happen that the force of God's wrath has come upon us. Why do people think that anyway? I know I did at one time. Until without a shadow of a doubt I knew in my heart that God is good. Why are we having wars, disasters, death and destruction happen to us? I think mainly it's God's way of bringing Faith into peoples hearts, when some have lost their way. He teaches us thru loss that we have life. He keeps showing us the way and we keep ignoring His prompts to follow. We as human beings have a tendency to accumulate the finer things in life to make us comfortable. We acquire homes, furnishings, and all the do-dads to keep us high in life. Except in God's Kingdom there is no material wealth as we in our kingdom on earth so aptly apply in our lives. So when natural disasters strike, or wars that wreak havoc in our lives we moan the loss of life and then we cry because we lost our comforts. It is only right to moan the loss of life, because life is precious. But when we cry and bemoan the loss of material wealth then we truly are in need of a wake up call again and again. I believe that he takes away what we cherish to make us all realize how shallow our faith is. When we have God so close to our hearts material possessions are nothing and the loss of them does not cause sorrow. For me this makes sense because I have that close relationship with God. His Kingdom is more important than my material comfort. When disasters happen it is a lesson that not many grasp. It is a call from God to reconcile ourselves to His Kingdom.

Bernice: I have just finished reading your posts. I know you are sincere. I myself do not see any images in the photos you have posted yet I know they are authentic to you. Have you ever heard, "Faith is the evidence of things unseen," or something like that? I also began my faith journey with Christ after serious errors. Many, many errors. At first I could not believe that Jesus was calling out to me, such a sinner. I feel he encouraged me by manifesting some miracles in my life, such as appearing to me as a golden Lamb with the face of Christ and having his Mother, our Mary appear to me in my backyard after I corrected a very serious error in my life. This happened about eleven years ago. Since then I have had a few other "miraculous" things happen but the real "miracle" is my changed interior and the love I have in my heart for all humanity. I sometimes tell God that he dosen'ty have to prove anything to me anymore. I want to offer him the traditional faith without seeing as a sacrifice because for so many years I craved high drama and proofs of everything in my life. Nevertheless, I am open to anything that our Loving Father wishes for me. God bless you and keep you safe, Bernice. A friend in Christ who resides in scenic Brooklyn, New York.
