Heal Us, Oh Lord

In today's Gospel of Mark, Jesus reveals why he has come. To bring healing to our bodies and souls, to reveal God through his word. It is through this very beginning that we come know about the Love of God for us.

It was foretold that we would be given a Savior, and Jesus set out to give us exactly that. By expelling demons, healing the lame, giving sight to the physically blind as well as the spiritually blind. He showed us the way of forgiveness. But most importantly he gave us faith and love in God.

Why would God do that for us, if he didn't love us. It is in this very act of sending us his son, to guide us in the way we are to live, to love. All that has been written, is for us to be guided by, and to understand the gift God has given to us, for us to build our life with. God has given us very much by way of his word as well as giving us someone very valuable to him, his own son.

How many of us would offer our own to save mankind.
