And he came down with them and stood on a stretch of level ground.A great crowd of his disciples and a large number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and even those who were tormented by unclean spirits were cured. Everyone in the crowd sought to touch him because power came forth from him and healed them all. Luke 6:17-19
Reflection:
When Jesus came down from the mountain after a night of prayer to the Father, he chose his twelve and named the apostles.
But he also took care of the sick and healed their diseases. Jesus had a power to cure those afflicted with unclean spirits. Where in all the earth do we have this today. To heal and remove demons. Back then these people wanted to just touch him and they were healed. We long for this today too.
We do have him in a way that we can be healed. We have him in the Eucharist, where he is present always. Where he can touch our lives with his body. How the power of his life emanates from such a simple, yet complex source. Today we have him in the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration, where we can reach out to him, where we can let him heal us, be it spiritually, or physically. In faith he is there to touch us.

Sister Briege McKenna tells how Sister Angelica, the legendary foundress of EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network), the large cable TV station, convinced her of the value of Eucharistic Adoration. Taking Briege into the chapel at Birmingham, Alabama, she pointed to the monstrance, and said "There's the teacher. Don't be trying to copy other people's styles. Come to Jesus and let him teach you."
In the intervening years Briege has set aside two or three hours a day for adoration, in the midst of the busiest of schedules. She has found that the Lord cannot be outdone in generosity. Knowing from personal experience the value of daily eucharist and frequent confession she tirelessly recommends them to all who listen to her.
After coming to Tampa, Florida as a teacher, Sister Briege became crippled by the onset of rheumatoid arthritis. At the age of twenty-four, she was miraculously healed during the celebration of the Eucharist and some time later received, in prayer, the gift of healing for which she has become so widely known.
Wonderful Brother Lesser, I have heard of this Sister from my Mom. My mom speaks highly of her. A few years ago I read her book. Don't ask me what I read though.
Was she truly imitating others and not Jesus? Is that why Mother Angelica did that for her.
There is something about writing for God, it is letting him be the writer. This is what I do, and continue to do. God love you
