How do we see?

You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky;
why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
Luke 12:56

Reflection:
He's right after all these years, we know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky but not the present time.What would we discover about our present time that would tell us about what Jesus had to say two thousand years ago. Would he perhaps say something about the mischief in our churches, or the mischief in high places in the government.

Would he perhaps say something about the situation we are not to mention. Would he have something to say about how the poor are not being fed. Would he have something to say about how we are polluting our world with chemicals to kill. Is there anything that you can think of that would give us an interpretation of our present time that foretells something not good. But is there anything in our present time that tells us of deliverance of our own folly.

As Jesus puts it, we know how to interpret the earth and the sky for signs, but do we really know how to understand and see how he moves in our lives? I understand how he does in my life and what I see around me, but do the rest of us see it in our own lives. And if we do see it then why are we not doing something about it.
