A Sabbath Healing

Does not each one of you on the sabbath
untie his ox or his ass from the manger
and lead it out for watering?
This daughter of Abraham,
whom Satan has bound for eighteen years now,
ought she not to have been set free on the sabbath day
from this bondage?
When he said this, all his adversaries were humiliated;
and the whole crowd rejoiced at all the splendid deeds done by him.
Luke 13:15-17

Reflection:
He's right too. We have small jobs to do even on the Sabbath. But then I wonder how did the Pharisees get along without lifting a finger on the Sabbath. Didn't they have serving people take care of their needs even on the Sabbath. Or did they fast and not move at all on that day.

Jesus came to heal and to bring us out of bondage from man made rules. He came to teach us how to love one another, not to be hypocrites. And God does the same, he cleanses us from our sins. He rids us of our evil ways. And Jesus heals the broke parts so we can be whole and serve for the greater glory of God.

We are seeing how he is doing this today in many areas of our world, where he uses his ministers to gather and make whole those who are broken. We have Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament who comes to heal us when we seek it.

Come, Lord Jesus heal the brokeness in our world. Cleanse our hearts from sins that take us away from you. Guard our thoughts and speech from any evil. May we be made whole by your loving touch.

Marie,

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Ansley and I work with the Catholic apostolate The Spiritual Children of Saint Rita, founded by Mrs. Rita Jeannine Melanson.

Her son Paul, a friend of yours, has written an important article which addresses a topic which is so critical for the Church at this present hour.

The article may be found here: http://newsblaze.com/story/20061030233249nnnn.nb/newsblaze/OPINIONS/Opinions.html

Would you please tell all of your friends and associates within the Blogging community about this critical piece? The more people who read this important article the more such news outlets will publish similar articles.

I thank you deeply. May Saint Rita continually intercede for all of your needs, both spiritual and physical.

God bless,
John.
