A Song

They were holding God’s harps,
and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb:

"Great and wonderful are your works,
Lord God almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
O king of the nations.
Who will not fear you, Lord,
or glorify your name?
For you alone are holy.
All the nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed."

Revelation:15:2-4

Reflection:
The heavenly songs that have been written down for us to know, say how God truly is. Just as the song we read in today's reading speaks of the might of the Lord.

We don't read or hear of a God that is harsh in these songs sung from the heavenly angels. What a difference to what we know of songs we hear of today.

We hear in our modern songs many things that do not promoted goodness. How many songs sing of destruction, evil or killing, or for that matter lust. And then we have the songs of God that restore peace to our souls.

Jesus told the crowds of their upcoming persecution because of him, and since that time many have gone to execution for the sake of the Lord. They have laid down their life for Him. And heaven sings a song of unending joy.
