Tuesday of the Second Week in Ordinary Time

Brothers and sisters: God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name by having served and continuing to serve the holy ones. We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end, so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises.
Hebrews 6:10-12

Reflection:
All that we do and strive to be, is it for God and his holy ones? We go to work every day giving to a company our time, our experience, our strength. In this endeavor do we also demonstrate our love of neighbor.

Do we really set out to work for God in our daily lives by imitating those who have already inherited the kingdom of God. Do we imitate Jesus, his disciples, the saints, those who have worked along with God as well as for others.

Can we be bearers of hope for others while living our lives? Can we share God's love for each other as God loves us. Are we challenged enough in our life that we can not take on another for the sake of God? If we cannot hug a person can we at least smile from our hearts for them to see the sparkle of love in our eyes. Make today a challenge to live our day filled with the sparkle of love in our eyes so that when we smile at another they will see the star of Bethlehem shining through us.
