The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Jesus said to his disciples:
"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,
he will guide you to all truth.
He will not speak on his own,
but he will speak what he hears,
and will declare to you the things that are coming.
He will glorify me,
because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
Everything that the Father has is mine;
for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine
and declare it to you."
John 16:12-15

Prayer

Dear Father you have given us the truth through your Son. You sent us the Spirit to reveal to your apostles the truth and to declare what Jesus has said to them as verifiable truth. Because all that Jesus has known is from you it is only the truth of what he declares that what you have is his. We are blessed to have received the truth from him. Dear Father we understand that the Spirit of truth will guide us in the ways of truth. Truth is important. May we come to learn the value of truth in our lives and keep it from being distorted. May our faith be built on truth of love for you and your Son. Amen
