First Tuesday in Advent

Turning to the disciples in private he said, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. For I say to you, many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, but did not see it, and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it." Luke 10:23-24

In our modern day world we have many opportunities to see and hear Jesus. Each time we look at the person beside us we see him, and we hear him. It's a blessing to be made in his Image, to know that is to know him. When we gather together to celebrate Mass, we hear him. We hear his word through others to guide us. How blessed we are to hear his word and follow it. Just as the blind beggar asked to see, Jesus healed him because of his faith and trust. Just think of how much he is present in the Eucharist waiting for us to ask to be healed of our blindness.
How truly blessed we all are for his gift of himself in the presence of our modern day world. To see him, to touch him, to hear him and to love him in our encounter daily, we are truly blessed.
