God's Great Love

What was from the beginning,
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we looked upon
and touched with our hands
concerns the Word of life-
for the life was made visible;
we have seen it and testify to it
and proclaim to you the eternal life
that was with the Father and was made visible to us-
what we have seen and heard
we proclaim now to you,
so that you too may have fellowship with us;
for our fellowship is with the Father
and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
We are writing this so that our joy may be complete.
(NAB) 1 John 1:1-4

We too have the joy of the written word, but we also have the joy of receiving our Lord in the Eucharist where he is present. He makes himself known to us always in the breaking of the bread whom the Apostles witnessed. How great life is for us to have this great gift God provided for us to receive his only Son on a daily basis. To Adore him knowing that he sits with us when we go to him in Adoration. How can we not love God with all our hearts when he goes to such lengths to give so much of himself. Saint John knew of this great love, he is sharing with us his joy. It's never too late to open our hearts to God's love. God Bless
