O King of the Nations,

whom all peoples desire,
you are the cornerstone which makes all one.
O come and save us, whom you made from clay.

And Mary said:
"My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my savior." (NAB) Luke 1:46-47

Mary's soul is rejoicing for God has given to her the cornerstone for us to build upon. Our Lady Mother is the first Temple to be built upon. Her virtue is of sanctity and humility to show us why she was chosen to be the vessel that God chose to bear our savior.
All those who have gone through the cycle of birth should know of the joy that was in Our Lady Mother's heart. It is difficult for those who are barren to understand the joy a Mother knows of nurturing a special life. Yet we rejoice just as much as the Mother when a child is born. To see a new life, to watch this life grow. Who out there does not rejoice when a child is born? Jesus' coming into this world as an infant is a lesson for the future, that life is precious and meant to be rejoiced and nurtured. Mary's acceptance of God's will for our salvation should show us the greatness of God. Yet we continually snuff out God from our lives. Is Jesus precious to us today?

Just wanted to wish a beautiful sister in spirit a Merry Christmas and healthy and prosperous new year. I get comfort knowing that you are faithful to God and your blog. You are an inspiration to this busy soul in Brooklyn, NY who is trying to be more Martha than Mary this holiday season. In His Peace and Light, Lori

I meant more Mary than Martha. The cooking and wrapping is going to my head a bit. Lori

Lori,
I wish you a Blessed and Merry Christmas also. Thank you for your inspiring words they brightened my day. You brought a smile to my heart knowing we are Sisters in Spirit. I pray for your health and prosperity that the New Year will be one filled with much Joy. Mary and Martha both served the Lord, in their own special way. Keep smiling and let the light of our Lord shine with you. May you be filled with God's Peace. Bernice
