Which Seed are You?

Since you have purified yourselves by oedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart. You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and abiding word of God. 1 Peter 1:22-23

One would have to know that once a heart finds the truth and purifies it's self, the reality of a dying seed no longer applies. We become truly imperishable when we live by the word of God. Knowing this, our lives become more united with God, and all that we do is for Him. We truly then imitate Jesus, because he did everything for God, his Father.

How do we know we are born again in Christ Jesus. When we no longer seek our way, but everything that is part of God. We desire nothing more than to give our lives for all that God stands for, peace, harmony, unity. When he whispers to us to do something, we listen, and follow what he asks of us. We become truly obedient.

Think about when our parents, spouse, friend, boss, or coworker ask something of us, what do we usually do? We answer them, we often do what is asked of us. Yet with God, we need to focus on Him, to be able to hear Him, just as we focus on those we live with. When we set out to purify our hearts, then hearing God in His word, will be a special gift of hearing His word. Love of neighbor then will be all the more sweet.
