Tuesday of the Second Week of Advent

Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Advent Prayers

Lord, fill our hearts with your love, and as you revealed to us by an angel the coming of your Son as man, so lead us through his suffering and death to the glory of his resurrection, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day, and they shall be his people, and he will dwell among you.
Zechariah 2:15

Reflection:
He dwells in us, and we are joined together. He has given us the Eucharist to be with us always, where many nations have him in their midst. We could say this has come to pass then, how many nations shall join themselves to the Lord.

It truly is amazing how far we have come since this was written. For us small insignificant people, we have Jesus present in our lives on a daily basis. Where we are his people, as community of believers.

We have a very significant gift given to us, because he not only dwells within us, he is a part of our lives when we follow his path. He is all around us, in our neighbor, in our Tabernacles, everywhere we go we come in contact with him. Even when we come across those who reject him, we see him. We all look different but we all are made in his image. In baptism we have been made his children.

When we think about how huge the world is and how many nations have Jesus in their midst, it makes a person smile to know that we are all joined together
