Monday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin.
Mark 3:29

Reflection:
Now that should tell us something important about the Holy Spirit. We have the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as one. The Holy Spirit is part of both or both are part of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is larger than we can ever imagine and far more important in the Trinity. This is the essence of God and the Son.

That is why Jesus says whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness, but is guilty of an everlasting sin. Don't ever blaspheme the Holy Spirit, for he gives so much to us with the Father and Son. That would be like condemning our souls. We would be nothing.

Our life then would be like the living dead, here but not. Sometimes we can see it in people, it's as if the life in them is gone. They are like a shell. Why would anyone want to live this way. When we are touched by the Holy Spirit we do have life, and it is beautiful to know the Holy Spirit.

Take special care to guard yourselves in how you use the Trinity's name in passing. Not just the Holy Spirit, but God's name and His Son Jesus, should be kept sacred always.
