Saturday the Sixth Week of Easter

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.
Until now you have not asked anything in my name;
ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

“I have told you this in figures of speech.
The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures
but I will tell you clearly about the Father.
On that day you will ask in my name,
and I do not tell you that I will ask the Father for you.
For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me
and have come to believe that I came from God.
I came from the Father and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”
John 16:23b-28

Prayer

Dear Father we know and love your Son Jesus, ever since the apostles that were chosen while he was here with us have done what was revealed to them. We ask in his name for all our needs, especially the spiritual needs of our hearts. In faith we entrust ourselves to his care that our hearts may be whole and one with you. It is through your son we come to know of your love for us. In turn we come to give back this love to you for giving us a friend who loves us as much to intercede for us always. Thank you for giving us your Son, where we often can go to find him in the Eucharist. A special place that he dwells in so we may have him always. Bless you dear Father for this special love. Amen
