Jesus' Presentation in the Temple

Today we read about Jesus' presentation in the Temple. Where two significant people have been awaiting his arrival. First we meet Simeon, who it was told by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the the Messiah. So when Jesus came into the Temple, Simeon blessed God, saying "Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in sight of all the peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel." Now that is a powerful testimony from a total stranger about Jesus and his coming glory.
We also read about Anna coming forward when Jesus was presented, having been in the Temple all her life awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem. She too, knew Jesus is the one to bring salvation. We have two significant people who did not know the time of our Lord's coming but knew he was coming in their lifetime, for them to be witnesses. This is for us to know the truth of his coming. God Bless
