Saturday, Fourth Week of Lent

But, you, O Lord of hosts, O just judge, searcher of mind and heart, let me witness the vengeance you take on them, for to you I have entrusted my cause! Jeremiah 12:20

His faith was that strong,Jeremiah knew and trusted God, that he would be delivered from those who plotted against him.

Jesus also knew of those who plotted against him, to rid the world of his goodness. But Jesus did not seek to witness the vengeance of those who sought his death, rather he forgave them, so his cause would be made known to all. That of love and forgiveness, which God entrusted to his only Son for our salvation. God is a God of Love, not a God of vengeance. That is why Jesus was sent to us to correct us on the ways of God, on the very fact it is his love Jesus calls us to. The two most important commandments are what Jesus stressed, the ones of love for God and love for neighbor as you love yourself.
